- 70V Pendant Speaker System: Rockville PEN-40T Black is a 4" hanging pendant speaker for commercial and restaurant installs, with built-in 70V or 100V transformer and selectable 8 Ohm operation. Use the onboard tap switch for 70V at 20-Watts, 10-Watts, 5-Watts, or 2.5-Watts, 100V at 20-Watts, 10-Watts, or 5-Watts, or select 8 Ohm for 30-Watts power handling, plus detachable euro block terminals for easier wiring.
- 2-Way Driver Design: Each Rockville PEN-40T uses a true 2 way design with a separate 4" woofer and 13mm PEI dome tweeter for clear high frequencies. The woofer features an 8 Oz magnet, polypropylene cone, and foam surround, while the capacitor crossover filters unwanted sounds. Frequency response is 70Hz - 20kHz with sensitivity rated at 85d+-2B, suited for restaurants, offices, hotels, and similar commercial spaces.
- Commercial Install Hardware: PEN-40T includes an eyelet bracket for hanging and is designed for quick installation in restaurant and commercial ceilings. The ABS injection molded cabinet measures 6.06" diameter x 7.17" height and weighs 3.5 lbs each, making placement easier across multiple zones. Detachable euro block speaker terminals let you wire the connector first, then attach it to the speaker for cleaner, faster installs.
- 70V Distributed Audio Use: PEN-40T supports 70V systems for installs with many speakers, letting you run long speaker wire lines with reduced signal loss and straightforward amplifier matching by totaling the tap wattage across speakers. Wiring is simple: connect all positive speaker terminals to the amplifier's positive 70V output and all negatives to the negative output, without needing to calculate impedance, while still offering 8 Ohm mode when preferred.
